Whether or not China is engaging in espionage, how would ordinary South Koreans know? Would they take to the streets to protest the espionage activities of a country?
In essence, it's that South Koreans no longer feel superior to Chinese people as China rises and South Korea loses its leading position in various fields, resulting in a display of impotent rage.
