| 3 |  | Most of Taiwanese are descendants of Chinese origin. The current 2 sides between mainland Chinese and Taiwanese are not separate by the origin, but by the government! Both mainlanders and the Taiwanese are for sure Chinese! But, the real current situation from the Chinese in Taiwan is that the Taiwanese do not want to be governed by the PROC! Taiwanese have different societal governing philosophy which is capitalist based, but the mainlander Chinese government is still communist based (although PROC is running like a pseudo Capitalist). These 2 philosophies cannot be reconciled! The mainlander Chinese also have complete different voting system than the direct voting system in Taiwan. Unless there is a complete fundamental and overhaul of governmening philosphy acceptable by the 2 sides, there cannot be a smooth unification. I do wish for a smooth and realistic reunification, but both sides of governments need to ask themselves how can they reconcile their differences in governing philosophies!
